The Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Ekrima Sabri and dozens of other Palestinians have been listed in a far-right Israeli Telegram channel advocating for their harm, reports Middle East Eye.
Many attacks against them occur in the presence of occupation forces who either ignore the incidents or actively participate in the abuse.
The Nazi Hunters 2023 channel was established on Monday and is one of several Telegram accounts that seem to incite violence against Palestinians.
Palestinian citizens of Israel and those living in occupied East Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank argue that there are no legal protections in place to shield them from settler violence.
The Nazi Hunters 2023 channel identifies these individuals as "Nazis who are walking around freely and have not yet been eliminated."
The channel shares the location of Sabri's residence while urging for it to be targeted. It particularly singles out Sabri as a high-priority target for harm.
The list extends to religious leaders, political figures, journalists, public officials, student activists as well as alleged members of Hamas and Palestinian fighters.
Posts in the Telegram channel, communicated in Hebrew, call for law enforcement agencies to arrest and interrogate those mentioned.
The channel also calls for attacks on mosques, universities, and businesses.
