Peshawar High Court has granted transit bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Speaker of the National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, until January 30. The court has also directed him to appear before the relevant courts.
Justice Kamran Hayat Mian Khel of the Peshawar High Court heard the petitions filed by Asad Qaiser. The petitioner’s counsel argued that the former Speaker had filed transit bail applications in three cases, while he had already secured bail in 11 other cases. The counsel requested an extended transit bail period, citing the large number of cases and the time required for court proceedings.
The court accepted the request and granted transit bail to Asad Qaiser until January 30, directing him to comply with the orders to appear before the respective courts for further proceedings.
