Privatisation Minister Abdul Aleem Khan visited on Sunday the private museum Sobia Mahal in Islamabad.
According to details, during the visit, the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) president observed rare copies of the Holy Quran and examples of Islamic calligraphy. He also examined artworks representing the Indus Valley civilisation and contemporary art at the museum.
The federal minister said, "It is a significant achievement to bring together a large collection of items linked to Islamic civilisation in one place."
He praised Zahid Pervez Butt, a renowned educationist and historian, for his efforts in establishing the museum. Aleem Khan showed a keen interest in the 'Allah, Muhammad' gallery, where sacred names were displayed.
Aleem Khan further commented that "Allah has granted Zahid Pervez Butt the ability to undertake this blessed task. This private museum combines both ancient and modern civilisations, offering an invaluable opportunity for the younger generation to learn about their ancestors and history."
He also expressed that establishing more Islamic centres like 'Subiya Mahal' would contribute to a positive societal shift.
Butt, the founder of the museum, stated that it represents their family legacy and efforts, now being passed on to the third generation.
The executive director of Sobia Mahal thanked Abdul Aleem Khan for his visit and encouragement.
