A tragic plane crash at Muan International Airport in South Korea's South Jeolla Province has claimed lives, with witnesses reporting engine sparks and multiple explosions before the accident leading to a conspiracy to the plane crash.
This is the second deadly plane crash attack in one week after an Azerbaijan plane crashed by the Russian defense system.
The Jeju Air flight veered off the runway during landing around 9:07 a.m., colliding with a fence wall. Videos broadcast by local TV stations reveal the plane attempted to land without deploying its landing gear.
Eyewitness Yoo Jae-yong, 41, who observed the crash from a nearby rental house, said, “I saw a spark on the plane’s right wing before hearing a loud explosion.”
Another witness, identified only by the surname Cho, was 4.5 kilometers away on a stroll when he noticed a flash of light followed by a loud bang, smoke, and a series of explosions.
Kim Yong-cheol, 70, recounted that the plane had failed its first landing attempt and was circling back when he heard "metallic scraping" noises. Moments later, he witnessed the plane ascending briefly before a "loud explosion" accompanied by billowing black smoke.
Authorities suspect landing gear failure, possibly due to a bird strike, as a potential cause.
Police and firefighting teams have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.
