Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took notice of complaints about reduced gas supply to domestic consumers and instructed authorities to ensure uninterrupted supply.
Chairing a review meeting, the prime minister directed officials to introduce reforms in the system for a permanent solution to the issue.
PM Shehbaz emphasised that providing gas to domestic consumers remained a top priority for the government.
Meanwhile, separately, few days back, PM Shehbaz had announced the formation of a negotiation committee comprising members of the ruling coalition to address proposals regarding the National Assembly.
The decision came after PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar requested the National Assembly speaker to play a mediatory role in initiating dialogue.
The committee includes key figures from the government and coalition parties Senator Ishaq Dar, Rana Sanaullah, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Naveed Qamar, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Abdul Aleem Khan, Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Sardar Khalid Magsi.

Separately, few days back, PM Shehbaz vowed to tighten noose around the human traffickers.

Expressing his thoughts, the premier said, "Strict action will be taken against the FIA officers, who had been involved in human smuggling."
"Laziness has been shown following the recent tragedy that happened in line with human trafficking," said the prime minister.

The premier ordered to submit solid proposals by immediately completing the investigations in line with the human trafficking.
