The Met Department has forecast cold and dry weather for most parts of the country, with extremely cold conditions expected in specific areas, particularly the northern and western regions.
Islamabad and its surrounding areas are expected to remain cold and dry in the coming days. Meanwhile, Murree, Galiyat, and their adjoining areas will experience extremely cold temperatures, according to a spokesperson.
Dense fog and smog are likely to affect various regions, causing visibility issues and potential travel disruptions. Areas expected to experience fog and smog include:
- Punjab: Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Kasur, Okara, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, DG Khan, and Bahawalnagar.
- Pothohar region: Morning fog is likely in Rawalpindi and surrounding plain areas.
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Swabi, Mardan, Peshawar, Nowshera, Kohat, DI Khan, and other plain regions.
- Sindh: Sukkur, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Khairpur, and nearby areas.
Balochistan
The weather in Balochistan is expected to remain extremely cold and dry across most districts, with temperatures dropping significantly, especially in the higher altitudes.
The Met Department has advised caution for travellers in fog-affected areas, especially during early morning and late-night hours.
