The Lahore High Court (LHC) instructed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to submit a fresh request for holding a rally at an alternative location, rather than Liberty Chowk, as initially proposed area by PTI.
The court's decision comes as a response to PTI's request for permission to organize a rally at Liberty Chowk.
However, the Lahore High Court ruled against granting permission for the rally at Liberty roundabout location.
Justice Raheel Kamran remarked that if PTI is unable to secure permission for the alternative venue, no political party will be permitted to hold a rally.
Justice Raheel Kamran provided PTI with a 72-hour window to obtain permission for the new location.
The decision to deny permission for the rally at Liberty Chowk is based on security concerns, in regard to what happened on May 9.
