Kate Middleton - the Princess of Wales - has shared a heartfelt message with the public following the release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Christmas card.
The festive spirit is in full swing within the royal family, with Kate’s annual Christmas carol service making headlines once again this year.
Despite a challenging personal battle with cancer, Kate successfully hosted the “Together at Christmas” carol service for the fourth year in a row, solidifying her role as a key figure in the royal family's holiday celebrations.
This year’s event was especially poignant, focusing on themes of love, empathy, and the importance of supporting one another. The service, which took place at Westminster Abbey, saw a performance by Grammy-winning artist Gregory Porter, whose moving rendition of a Christmas carol was featured in a recent video shared by Kate herself.
“It was an honour to perform at The Princess of Wales’ 2024 Together at Christmas carol service,” Porter captioned the video, which was subsequently shared by the Princess.

The post continued, "This year’s carol service at Westminster Abbey is all about love and empathy, and how much we need each other. It was such a special evening. Thank you for having me @princeandprincessofwales.” The full service will air on Christmas Eve at 7:30 PM on ITV and ITVX, allowing the public to partake in the royal family's Christmas spirit.
In the meantime, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have released their own private Christmas card. The card, which features an adorable photo of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, was sent out to close friends and family. Notably, it appears that the Sussexes will once again miss out on an invitation to join the royal family at Sandringham for their traditional festive gathering.
Despite their exclusion from this year’s royal reunion, sources report that Harry remains in contact with his sister-in-law Kate, who is believed to be playing a pivotal role in the ongoing efforts to mend family rifts. However, it remains unclear whether the Princess of Wales will receive a personal Christmas card from the Sussexes this year.
