Advisor to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah said on Tuesday that the incumbent government was ready to hold political talks with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Expressing his thoughts during the National Assembly session, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart labelled the dialogues with the opponents as the "extraordinary development". "The prime minister has said that we [government] are ready to hold talks on every matter."
Sanaullah maintained: "The negotiation committee of the PTI should send message to the government for talks."
"The democratic system cannot be run without the proceeding of the negotiations between the government and opposition," he said.
– Sanaullah credits PM Shehbaz, others for averting country’s default risks –
Few days back, the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-led government and others averted the country’s risk of default.
Expressing his thoughts, Sanaullah took a dig at PTI founder Imran Khan, saying, “The PTI founder had dragged the country towards the economic crunch. He [PTI] is still looking to drag the country towards the economic crunch.”
“This is a big question: Is his [PTI founder] popularity increasing continuously?” he stated.
Speaking about the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Sanaullah said, “The efforts were made to sabotage the agreement with the IMF. The narrative was made that the country got defaulted. The narrative was made to attack Islamabad and spread unrest.”
