Greek boat accident FIR registered in Gujranwala
The first case related to the tragic Greek boat accident has been registered in Gujranwala.
The case was filed on the statement of the father of Muhammad Sufyan, one of the victims who died in the incident.
According to the complainant, his son was on board the ill-fated boat along with several other individuals. He stated that the youths were transported from Faisalabad Airport to Egypt and subsequently to Libya.
The father further revealed that the victims were tortured while being kept in a safe house before being forced to board the boat.
The complainant alleged that he paid Rs2.4 million to a group of individuals, including Qamar-ul-Zaman, Usman, Asif, and Sofia, to send his son abroad.
The authorities have initiated an investigation into the case as they look to take action against human trafficking networks responsible for the incident.
