Hossein Salami, the commander-in-chief of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has vowed that Israeli forces will eventually be "buried" in Syria, emphasizing that Iran’s presence in Syria is not for territorial expansion, but to defend Muslims in the region.
Salami expressed strong condemnation of Israeli actions in Syria, particularly in areas near Damascus and Quneitra, stating that the Zionists' increasing presence in these territories is "unbearable" for the region.
He reiterated a promise by Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who last week vowed that Syrian youth would ultimately liberate occupied territories.
Salami warned that Israel would pay a heavy price for its actions, which he described as part of a broader struggle that would require time, endurance, and faith.
