Senior Sports Journalist Syed Yahya Hussaini hoped on Thursday that despite all the uncertainties, the Champions Trophy 2025 will be held in Pakistan.
Expressing his thoughts on the Samaa TV programme, “Zor Ka Jor,” Hussaini said, “I believe that the Champions Trophy will be held and the India-Pakistan match will also happen. Pakistan will host the mega-event."
“The other cricket boards have nothing to do in line with addressing the Champions Trophy stalemate between Pakistan and India or holding bilateral series [in which both India and Pakistan feature],” he added.

He said, “The International Cricket Council (ICC) is merely acting like a spectator in connection with the Champions Trophy impasse. The ICC should have sorted out the stalemate of the Champions Trophy in June during the T20 World Cup 2024 held in the Caribbean and United States.”
“Only India and Pakistan have to address the Champions Trophy issue,” Hussaini maintained.
