At least 22 terrorists were killed and six soldiers martyred during three security operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a press release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday.
An intelligence-based operation in the Gul Imam area of Tank District resulted in the deaths of nine militants and injuries to six others, stated the ISPR.
In another operation in North Waziristan District, security forces successfully neutralised 10 militants.

A third encounter in Thall District saw security forces thwart an attempt to attack a security check post, killing three terrorists.
However, six soldiers were martyred during an intense exchange of fire.
Sanitisation efforts continued in these areas to eliminate any remaining militants.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the security personnel who eliminated terrorists and sacrificed their lives during recent operations.
President Zardari called the elimination of 22 terrorists a significant achievement. He stressed the need to continue such operations until terrorism is completely eradicated from the country.
The president expressed sorrow over the loss of soldiers' lives.
PM Shehbaz praised the security forces for their commitment to fighting terrorism and extended condolences to the families of the martyrs.
Naqvi lauded the security forces for thwarting the plans of the terrorists. He also assured the families of the martyrs of unwavering support.
