National Assembly Opposition Leader Omar Ayub, along with former provincial minister Raja Basharat and Ahmed Chattha, was handed over to Attock police.
According to details, the Rawalpindi police arrested Ayub, Basharat and Ahmed Chattha outside Adiala jail after charges were filed against them and other suspects, including the PTI founder in the GHQ attack case.
Later that night, the Rawalpindi police transferred the accused to Attock police, who moved them to the Police Lines Headquarters.
The accused face terrorism charges registered at police stations in Injra, Hassan Abdal and Hazro.
Sources divulged that the Attock’s district police officer (DPO) contacted the Rawalpindi police for their custody.
Separately, PTI workers Majid Daniyal and Malik Azeem were also taken into custody by police from the Dhamial police station outside Adiala jail.
