Gold prices witnessed a significant decrease on the first day of the business week, both in Pakistan and internationally.
In the local market, the price of one tola (11.66 grams) of gold dropped by Rs1,700, settling at Rs274,500. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs1,457 to Rs235,340.
This decline mirrors a drop in the global gold market, where the price per ounce fell by $17, reaching $2,633.
Jewellers in Karachi confirmed that the decrease in gold prices was seen across both local and international markets, marking a shift in the trend after several days of price fluctuations.
