Pakistan displayed a strong batting performance, posting 303/6 in their allotted 50 overs during the third ODI against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo.
After winning the toss and opting to bat, Pakistan got off to a solid start with Abdullah Shafique (52) and Saim Ayub contributing a 58-run opening stand. Kamran Ghulam emerged as the star of the innings, scoring his maiden ODI century and setting the platform for Pakistan’s total. Ghulam was supported by Mohammad Rizwan, who added stability with a composed knock, while Salman Ali Agha provided a quick cameo after a cautious start.
Tayyab Tahir provided the late fireworks, smashing an unbeaten 29 off 16 balls, including four boundaries, as Pakistan took 69 runs off the final five overs. Zimbabwe’s bowlers, including Richard Ngarava (2/55) and Blessing Muzarabani (1/66), bowled well in the middle overs but faltered towards the end, conceding runs through wides and no-balls.
At one stage, it seemed Pakistan might struggle to cross 275, but the late surge propelled them past the 300-run mark.
Zimbabwe now faces a challenging chase against a confident Pakistan bowling attack.
