The excitement is reaching a fever pitch as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) gears up for a grand spectacle in the lead-up to the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 clash.
In a bid to make up for the absence of an opening ceremony for the tournament, the BCCI has decided to treat fans to a special event at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Notably, the lack of an opening ceremony at the World Cup left many supporters feeling disappointed, and the BCCI aims to rectify that with a gala celebration ahead of the India-Pakistan encounter.
The special ceremony is set to feature a dazzling light show, mesmerizing dance performances, and a fireworks display.
Adding to the excitement, the multi-talented singer Arijit Singh is poised to take the stage.
Several Bollywood luminaries, including icons like Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth, are expected to grace the occasion, making it a star-studded affair.
Additionally, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar will also be attending this grand celebration.
The much-anticipated clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan is scheduled for October 14.
Moreover, substantial presence of Pakistani journalists is also expected, with approximately 20 to 25 Pakistani journalists participating in the event, according to Gujarat Cricket Association Secretary Anil Patel.
Some officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board are also set to attend the match in India.
