WhatsApp has unveiled revamped light and dark themes in its latest beta update for Android users, enhancing the app's aesthetic appeal and refining its visual identity.
The update, version 2.24.24.30, is available to select testers through the Google Play Beta Programme.
The light theme now features black accents, replacing the previous light blue, while the dark theme incorporates subtle white accents.
These design changes aim to modernise the app’s interface and establish a clearer distinction between WhatsApp Messenger and WhatsApp Business.
Additionally, WhatsApp Business has adopted a streamlined logo that simply displays “WhatsApp,” reflecting a minimalist design approach.
This change has aligned with the similar updates rolled out for iOS users, ensuring a consistent visual experience across platforms.
The updated themes are currently being released to beta testers in phases, with broader availability expected in the coming weeks. Android users interested in exploring the new features can download the beta version via the Google Play Beta Programme.
This move underscores WhatsApp’s ongoing commitment to enhancing user experience and achieving visual harmony across devices.
