All government and private educational institutions in Islamabad and Rawalpindi will remain closed on Tuesday also due to the prevailing law and order situation in the capital city.
However, private educational institutions in Islamabad have already declared a holiday, citing concerns over road closures and public safety.
The district administration has said that all private and government educational institutions in the capital will remain closed on Tuesday in view of the current situation. The decision will apply to all educational institutions in the federal capital, said an official notification.
President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Association (North Punjab), Abrar Ahmad Khan, confirmed the decision, stating that private schools in both Islamabad and Rawalpindi would remain closed on Tuesday in view of the current situation. He urged the Punjab education boards to review the schedule of matriculation examinations in light of ongoing disruptions.
“The ongoing protest sit-ins are severely impacting children's study schedules,” said Abrar Ahmad.
The district administration has said that no decision has yet been made on reopening schools due to continuing road blockages. Authorities emphasized that the safety of students and staff remains a top priority.
Moreover, the district administration of Murree has also decided to keep all government and private schools closed on Tuesday in view of the law and order situation.

In light of the escalating tense situation following the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protests, authorities in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and Murree announced the closure of all educational institutions on Monday.
The Islamabad district administration has confirmed that all government and private educational institutions would remain closed on Monday, with a notification expected soon. Private schools associations have agreed to abide by the decision. The district administration's notification will be applicable to all educational institutions in the federal capital.
In Rawalpindi also, authorities have decided to close all schools and colleges in the city.
