The threat of polio looms over the country as the tally on Sunday surged to 55 in the country in the ongoing year.
According to details, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had reported three more cases. Dera Ismail Khan, Zhob, and Jaffarabad had reported one new polio case each. In the ongoing year, overall six cases of the polio cases had been reported in Dera Ismail Khan.
Zhob had reported three cases, and Jaffarabad had reported two cases, respectively.
KP reported 14 polio cases, whereas the tally in Balochistan reached 26.
Sindh had reported 13 cases, while Punjab and Islamabad reported one case each.
