Former England captain Michael Vaughan said on Thursday that the rivalry between India and Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy isn’t close to the Ashes.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Vaughan expressed his thoughts ahead of the much-hyped BGT. He acknowledged the importance of the forthcoming series between Australia and India.

“Australia vs. India is a great series between two outstanding teams, but the rivalry isn’t close to the Ashes,” said Vaughan.
Australia and India will lock horns against each other in the first of the five-match Test match series tomorrow at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
