Aleema Khan, sister of the PTI founder, refuted claims of any deal involving Imran Khan while speaking to media persons outside Adiala Jail.
“In the past two and a half years, more than 200 cases have been filed against the founder of PTI. Since then, I have been hearing claims that the founder has been making deals,” she said.
Aleema Khan questioned, "If my brother had made any deal, would he still be in jail for so long?"
She further stated, "The Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted bail to Imran Khan on merit in the Toshakhana 2.0 case. We thought bail had been granted in all the cases."
Aleema Khan also described Imran Khan’s recent arrest as being based on a “ridiculous case.”
“The PTI founder has reiterated that the protest on November 24 will take place under any circumstances,” she told reporters.
PTI has announced a protest in Islamabad, demanding justice for the PTI founder and for workers languishing in jails across the country. However, a Punjab government spokesperson alleged that PTI acts as the political wing of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and stated that the government would handle the PTI protest in the same manner as they handle terrorists.
