Two people have been killed in separate road accidents caused by dense fog, while several others were injured in Liaquatpur and Lodhran.
Visibility issues due to the fog led to both accidents.
In Liaquatpur, a passenger coach and a trailer collided head-on near KLP Road close to Janpur. According to rescue officials, the coach driver was killed and one passenger injured.
Rescue teams arrived at the scene immediately, transferring the body and the injured to a nearby hospital. Officials confirmed that the crash was caused by low visibility from the heavy fog blanketing the area.
A separate accident took place in Lodhran when a passenger bus collided with a school van near Adam Wahan, killing one university student and severely injuring four others.
Rescue officials said the accident caused injuries to five students, who all belonged to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Rescue workers transported the injured students to the District Headquarters Hospital for emergency treatment, where one of them succumbed to her injuries. The victim was a student of BS at IUB.
The officials said this accident was also caused by heavy fog.
