In response to a recent terrorist attack near Jinnah International Airport, the Pakistan Airports Authority's Vigilance Department has announced new security measures aimed at strengthening safety protocols for passengers and their companions.
According to aviation sources, these guidelines are expected to be implemented shortly.
As part of the new policy, passengers must present a copy of their travel ticket to gain entry to the airport, ensuring their identity is verified by security agencies on-site. The security initiative also stipulates that each passenger may be accompanied by a maximum of four individuals.
In addition, those coming to pick up or drop off passengers will now be required to carry a valid identity card for entry into the airport premises. Citizens without ticket copies or ID verification will be restricted from entering, reinforcing controlled access and prioritizing the security of all travelers.
Airport authorities have emphasized that these changes are intended to ensure the safety of passengers and maintain a secure environment amidst heightened security concerns.
