A comprehensive 14-page questionnaire has been presented to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan , with 79 questions probing his involvement in the alleged illegal transfer of land, financial benefits and misleading statements regarding UK frozen funds.
According to details, the questionnaire based on witness testimonies and documentary evidence, scrutinises the former ruling party chief's alleged role in securing 458 kanals of land in exchange for illegal financial gains.
The investigation primarily centers on the Al-Qadir Trust, which was allegedly created after the unlawful acquisition of land for the trust, which did not even exist at the time of the transaction.
Key questions raised include whether the PTI founder and his associates illegally gained financial benefits, including £171.159 million out of a £190 million transaction involving British funds.
The questionnaire has probed the claims of a conspiracy with real estate tycoon Malik Riaz and questions whether these actions were part of a larger illegal financial arrangement.
One major line of questioning addresses the role of Shahzad Akbar, a former adviser to the PTI government, who allegedly misled the cabinet in a December 2019 briefing regarding the transfer of frozen funds from the UK to Pakistan.
