The Ajoka Dosti International Theatre Festival supported by Samaa TV and the Government of Punjab, kicked off with vibrant cultural performances at the Alhamra Arts Centre in Lahore.
The festival, which will run until November 17, showcases the diverse cultural heritage of Pakistan.
The opening day featured an array of traditional dance performances from the Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi, and Pakhtun regions, offering a colorful glimpse into the country's rich cultural tapestry.
Sufi performances captivated the audience during the initial session, followed by special appearances from actress Sawira Nadeem and Indian poet Arvindar Singh Chamka.
A highlight of the event was Ajoka's presentation of Dara, a theatrical piece exploring the Mughal era, which left the audience enthralled. The festival witnessed full participation from art-loving Pakistanis, who lauded the remarkable performances by the artists.
The ongoing festival continues to celebrate the artistic spirit and unity of the region, fostering stronger cultural ties between Pakistan and India.
