Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan on Thursday urged the provincial government to ensure the enforcement of the “smog emergency” across the province amid the increasing air pollution.
According to details, Khan said: “The people are suffering from the health problems due to the smog. The educational and business activities are being suspended across the province.”
“It is up to the government to address the challenges posed by smog. I would like to urge the Punjab government in my personal capacity to address the smog problems,” Khan added.
He said, “The Punjab government needs to take as strict actions as it can to combat smog.”
Khan lavished his praise on Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, saying, “The credit goes to the Mohsin Naqvi and his provincial interim government to control the smog in 2023.”
