Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is bracing for significant leadership changes, with Chief Operating Officer (COO) Salman Naseer expected to be reassigned soon, according to sources.
Plans are reportedly underway to transition Naseer to the Pakistan Super League (PSL), with potential new roles as Managing Director (MD) or Head of PSL.
In his place, sources reveal that former Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Sumair Ahmed Syed, is set to take over as PCB’s new COO on deputation from the Prime Minister’s House.
Syed's posting is anticipated soon, where he will serve under both the PCB Chairman and Salman Naseer, who will report to him.
Further restructuring is expected within the PSL, with International Director Usman Wahla likely to be named PSL Director—a decision that has raised concerns among PSL franchises.
While franchises are reportedly supportive of Naseer's shift to PSL, there is skepticism about Wahla's appointment, highlighting ongoing debates over the league's management direction.
