Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir, while rallying behind Babar Azam, urged the cricket fans to talk about performance but not personal.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Amir said: “Please stop this cheap mentality of having that narrative that Babar Azam or other players were not in the team due to which Pakistan have won the match.”
“We have come up with better planning and utilized the home advantage,” he wrote.
The 32-year-old cricketer said: “Please do not get personal with your players. You can talk about the player’s performance, but please don’t get personal.”
It is pertinent to note that following Pakistan's continuous shortcomings, former captain Azam was among four players rested by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
