Firewood and coal dealers have increased the rates amid the gas loadshedding in Multan.
According to details surfaced on Saturday, the people of Multan were facing hardships due to the gas outage, as a result of which the purchasing power of the firewood and coal had increased.
The dealers are selling the firewood and coal at inflated prices. The price of firewood had reached an exorbitant rate of Rs1400 per maund, which was Rs1200 per maund.
The price of firewood had been increased by 20 percent.
Meanwhile, the price of the coal had surged by 15 percent.
The citizens had urged the local administration to ensure the gas supply and also decrease the rates of the firewood and coal.
