Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former provincial assembly member Malik Sarfraz Khokar has announced to leave the party and take a break from politics for the time being.
In a statement on Friday, he strongly condemned the May 9 riots and announced to take a break from politics citing his health reasons.
Khokhar further said that he will announce his future plan regarding politics after consultation with his colleagues.
The former provincial assembly members went on to say that he bade adieu to PTI due to its policy of confrontation with the institutions.
“Despite violent incidents of May 9, the party is sticking to its aggressive narrative against its state institutions which is harmful to the country's interest,” he added.
