Pakistan leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed on Sunday expressed optimism about giving solid performance against England in the upcoming red-ball series slated to happen on October 7 (Monday).
Expressing his thoughts ahead of the first Test against England, Ahmed said: "Moving forward the tempo which I set following my dream debut against England in 2022 is my priority."
"It is everybody's aim to perform better than before, so am I," he stated.
He acknowledged England's style of play in Test cricket, saying, "Everybody knows that how England play."
Ahmed, who is also deemed the "mystery spinner," said: "You cannot blame weather as the professional cricket, whether it be the summer or winter season."
He stated, "All the players are doing well with the training ahead of the England series."
"The goal will be to make all-out efforts to secure victory." Even in the last encounters, we were very close to pulling off the victories," he said.
"I will be performing the same way I did in the last series against England.".
