Renowned Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik emphasised the need for Muslims to follow Islam completely and sees Gaza as a test for all mankind.
In an exclusive interview on Samaa TV with senior journalist Nadeem Malik, Dr Zakir Naik made a powerful statement about the current state of the Muslim Ummah, emphasizing the need to return to the teachings of the Quran and Hadith.
He said: "What is happening in Gaza is a test for all of humanity. The people of Gaza are passing the test, while we are failing. The people of Gaza are passing with 95% marks, and we are failing with 99%. We must follow Islam completely. The condition of Muslims today is because we have distanced ourselves from the Quran and Hadith."
Dr Zakir Naik further explained the signs of the end times according to Islamic teachings, stating that there are small and large signs of the world's end. He said:
"There are 87 small signs, and over two-thirds of them have already appeared. The first of these signs was the coming of the last prophet, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). As for the major signs, there are 10, including the arrival of Imam Mahdi, Jesus (PBUH), and Gog and Magog."
– Need for unity among Muslims –
"If the Muslim Ummah unites and follows the Quran and Sunnah, we will prevail. We were once at the top in the 8th century, but we fell when we began to distance ourselves from our religion. Today, we have wealth, Muslims are among the richest, but we do not practice our faith fully," he said.
Dr Naik stressed that selective adherence to Islam is insufficient, and Muslims must embrace the religion in its entirety to succeed in both this life and the hereafter.
