The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police and other security forces gunned down a wanted terrorist in a joint operation in Dera Ismail Khan.
Terrorist Haibat Khan, wanted by the Counter-Terrorism Department and belonging to a banned organization, was killed during the successful joint operation.
The CTD had fixed head money of Rs6 million on Haibat Khan. The killed terrorist was wanted by the police in nine terrorism cases.
Moreover, hand grenades, weapons and other items were seized from his possession, while his other associates managed to escape during the operation.

The police and security forces launched a search operation to arrest the remaining terrorists.
Late last month, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Peshawar had apprehended four alleged Afghan facilitators affiliated with the banned extremist organization, Daesh (Islamic State).
The operation unfolded in the Badaber area of the city.
According to official sources, the detained suspects had been involved in aiding and abetting Daesh, primarily focusing on target killings and acts of sabotage that threatened the peace and stability of the region.
While the identities of the arrested individuals have not yet been disclosed, their capture was confirmed by CTD officials. These four alleged facilitators were no strangers to the authorities, as they had been evading the law while facing charges in 10 different cases.
