In a surprising twist, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with an online betting case.
This development has also put other celebrities like Tiger Shroff, Elli AvRam, Bharti Singh, and more under scrutiny.
Ranbir Kapoor, who's currently riding high on the success of his career, received the ED's summons related to the Mahadev Online betting case.
He is required to appear before officials on October 6, 2023. The Mahadev Book app, linked to the case, is currently being investigated by law enforcement agencies.
According to reports, digital evidence suggests that a significant amount of money was funnelled through hawala transactions to an event management company, with substantial cash payments made for hotel bookings.
Interestingly, Ranbir Kapoor is not the only celebrity ensnared in this legal tangle. A slew of other stars, including Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone, Neha Kakkar, Atif Aslam, and more, may also receive a summons from the ED.
These names cropped up as they were guests at the wedding of Sourabh Chandrakar, the promoter of the Mahadev Book App, which took place in the UAE.
