Indian film actress Gayatri Joshi, known for her role in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Swades, met with a car accident while vacationing in Italy with her husband.
The incident happened in Sardinia, Italy during the Sardinia Supercar Tour, a luxury car event. They were driving their Lamborghini when it collided with a Ferrari and a camper van, causing their car to overturn.
Fortunately, Gayatri and her husband Vikas Oberoi are okay, according to his manager. However, sadly, the Ferrari caught fire, resulting in the tragic death of its occupants - Melissa Krautli, 63, and Markus Krautli, 67 - who were from Switzerland.
Gayatri Joshi is reported to have told the Free Press Journal that she and Vikas were in Italy where they met with an accident. "With God’s grace, we both are absolutely fine,” she is reported to have said.
As per Vikas Oberoi's manager, the couple is doing fine.
Gayatri Joshi, who represented India at Miss International 2000, had won the Femina Miss India International title in 2000. She starred in the 2004 movie Swades and later married businessman Vikas Oberoi in 2005.
Besides her acting career, she has worked as a model in advertisements and appeared in music videos like 'Jhanjaria' by Hans Raj Hans and 'Kaghaz Ki Kashti' by Jagjit Singh.
