Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Director High-Performance Nadeem Khan claimed that the cricket in the country is going in the right direction.
Expressing his thoughts on a private news channel, Khan said: "You keep hopes with the team, when the same players had played big roles in clinching massive victories. The frustration of masses over defeat against the United States in the T20 World Cup is right."
Khan said, "There is a dire need to ensure that the domestic cricket structure of any country should be strong for the formation of the robust international team. But unfortunately, it is front of everybody what was the situation of Pakistan cricket in the past two years."
Speaking about the forthcoming Champions One-Day Cup, Khan said: "The Champions One-Day Cup is the new edition in the domestic cricket circuit, which is 150 players who have been consistent performers in the past three years."
"The household names are going to perform the role of mentors of the five teams in the Champions One-Day Cup. Each of the teams has been connected with the academy each," said Khan.
Giving his take on the workload of the bowlers, Khan stated: "Unfortunately, we could not manage the workload of our bowlers in a right way as a result of our fast bowlers having lacked rhythm after marking their return in international cricket after injury and rehab.
