Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has released a gas supply interruption schedule affecting multiple sectors in Islamabad, encompassing areas such as F5, F6, F7, F8, G5, G6, G7, and G8.
In an official statement, an SNGPL spokesperson informed residents that there will be a 12-hour gas supply suspension on October 5th, commencing from 8am and concluding at 8pm.
This interruption is essential to facilitate maintenance work on gas pipelines located in Sector F-8, aimed at improving the overall gas system.
During this period, residents in the specified sectors are advised to arrange alternative means for their gas requirements.
Additionally, it is strongly recommended not to utilize any gas-powered appliances while the maintenance work is underway.
Meanwhile, the caretaker government is contemplating a potential gas price hike, which has been prompted by the demands of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The IMF has called for an increase in gas prices by approximately 45-50%.
