The Special Communications Organization (SCO) has established freelancing hubs in Keil and Athmaqam areas of Neelum Valley, Azad Kashmir. Additionally, 4G mobile services have been inaugurated in the remote village of Taubut.
These initiatives are part of SCO's priorities to provide modern information technology facilities to youth in Azad Kashmir and other remote areas, while also promoting tourism. The freelancing hub in Keil and the launch of 4G services in Taubut, the last village of the valley, mark significant steps in this direction.
SCO has also set up software technology parks and freelancing hubs in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. To ensure continuous connectivity during challenging situations, SCO is connecting its towers to solar power.
The organization is focusing on maintaining and restoring communications in difficult circumstances. The interest of Neelum Valley's youth in IT has been noted as commendable.
Local youth, students, elected representatives, and citizens have praised the Pakistan Army and SCO for their fundamental role in this development.
These advancements aim to bridge the digital divide in remote areas, potentially opening new economic opportunities through improved connectivity and access to global digital markets.
