Pakistan has once again achieved a significant milestone on the international stage with a historic performance at the UK Shooting Championship 2024, held at the legendary Bisley Ranges in Great Britain from September 3 to 8.
The Long Range Shooting Championship saw participation from approximately 160 world-class shooters hailing from 18 countries, making it a fiercely competitive event. Despite the stiff competition, the Pakistani squad, consisting of 18 skilled shooters, made the nation proud by delivering an outstanding performance.
Despite the various challenges and armed with professional skills, the Pakistani team made the nation proud with its excellent performance, winning three gold, four silver, and four bronze medals. Among the gold medalists were Junaid Khattak and Ahmed Javed.
In the FTR (Fullbore Target Rifle) category, the Pakistani shooters won several individual medals, further cementing their reputation as formidable competitors on the global stage. Additionally, Pakistan made a notable impact in the overall top individual shooters' standings, securing three positions in the top 10.
This stellar performance not only showcased the professional prowess of Pakistani shooters but also brought immense pride to the nation as the green crescent flag was raised high at the international event.
