Pak Suzuki has increased the prices of its bikes for the second time in a month on Tuesday.
On September 15, Pak Suzuki had increased the prices of two of its bikes by Rs 26,000, which included the GR 150 and GSX 125.
According to the report, the price of the GR150 was increased by Rs26,000 to Rs 5,47,000 and the price of the GSX 125 had climbed by Rs11,000 to Rs 4,99,000 in accordance with the revised pricing issued by Suzuki on September 15, 2023.
The price of two more variants, the GD 110S and the GS 150, has reportedly increased by Rs 18,000 as of October 1, 2023, according to the most recent information from Suzuki Pakistan, according to the latest information.
Following the most recent price adjustment, the Suzuki GD 110S now costs Rs 3,52,000, reflecting a Rs 17,000 increase from its previous price of Rs 3,35,000. Additionally, the Suzuki GS 150 has seen its price surge by Rs 18,000, taking it from Rs 3,64,000 to Rs 3,82,000.
In a notification released by the company, it is stated that the retail price includes ex-factory and freight charges. The prices are subject to change without prior notice and will be applicable at the time of delivery, with government taxes being imposed on consumers.
The rationale behind the price hikes is multifaceted. The rise in the GD110S’s price to Rs 350,000 may come as a surprise to motorcycle buyers, especially considering that this vehicle is commonly used by middle-class families for daily commutes. However, this increase could place it beyond the reach of many such buyers.
It's worth noting that while the US dollar reached a record high of 307 rupees in the interbank market in September, government measures have since reduced its value to 288 rupees. In May, the US dollar was valued at 285 rupees. In terms of US dollars, the price has only increased by 1% since May, while Suzuki has raised its motorcycle prices by 5%.
