In a surprising turn of events, the Gujarat Police apprehended a beggar with a unique approach to soliciting alms.
Zulfiqar Ali, who had been begging under the guise of charitable donations in Main Bazaar Galiana Chowk, was arrested by the Galiana Police.
Upon searching the beggar, the police discovered various currency notes in Ali's possession, which he had collected from unsuspecting donors.
Additionally, they found a receipt book on his person, containing a peculiar offer that read, "Earn 1 lakh good deeds by giving 10 rupees."
The receipt book prominently displayed the words 'Hakim Din Ka Darbar,' followed by four boxes.
The accompanying text outlined escalating tiers of spiritual rewards for different amounts: "Earn 1 billion good deeds by giving 1000 rupees" and "The price of 1 trillion good deeds is listed at 10 thousand rupees" were some of the enticing promises recorded in the book.
The beggar had been writing down the names and phone numbers of donors in the receipt book, committing to bestow spiritual favors upon them in exchange for their contributions.
Galiana Police have taken swift action by registering a case against Zulfiqar Ali under the relevant legal provisions in response to this unusual case.
Authorities are now investigating further to determine the extent of the beggar's activities and whether any individuals were deceived by his promises of spiritual rewards in exchange for monetary donations.
