Monsoon rains have wreaked havoc in the tourist region of Kumrat, causing severe flooding that has washed away roads and isolated the area.
The road from Thal to Kumrat has been completely cut off, leaving more than 200 tourists stranded, according to Tehsil Kalkot Chairman.
The flooding has also destroyed the road at several points, including Brikot and Galon, further worsening the situation.
Additionally, the floodwaters have affected two riverside hotels, compounding the challenges for those in the region.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif expressed regret over the incident, saying he is deeply saddened by the deaths of 12 family members due to landsliding.
