The Commissioner of Karachi announced on Thursday that all public and private schools across the district will remain closed tomorrow (August 30).
In an official statement, the Commissioner emphasised that the decision was made as a precautionary measure in response to the latest weather forecast, which predicts severe weather conditions in the coming days.
"In light of the advisory from the Meteorological Department and the PDMA, we have decided to close all public and private schools across the city to ensure the safety of students and staff," the Commissioner stated.
The advisory from the Meteorological Department has indicated the likelihood of heavy rains and strong winds, which could lead to urban flooding and other hazardous conditions.
The PDMA has also issued warnings to citizens, advising them to take necessary precautions and avoid unnecessary travel during the anticipated weather event.
