USD strengthens against PKR; KSE 100 index drops points after initial surge

The US dollar gained ground against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank trading on Monday and reached Rs278.40 with an increase of 10 paisas.

Meanwhile, the KSE-100 index initially gained 358 points and maintained the 79,000 benchmark but due to investors’ cautious investment, the benchmark reached 78,738 after losing 79 63 points.
