The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Monday addressed recent rumors and news reports concerning the reverification of SIM cards in Pakistan.
Taking to X, the authority asserted that at this point in time, no official decision has been made by the government regarding the reverification of SIM cards in Pakistan.

Contrary to recent media speculation, there is no concrete plan in place to initiate a SIM card re-verification process, the statement said.
