Heavy rain has swept across several cities in Punjab, including Lahore, bringing a welcome break from the heat and significantly lowering temperatures.
In Lahore, areas such as Gulberg, Davies Road, Garhi Shahu, and Dharampura experienced intense rainfall, leading to a noticeable drop in temperature and a more pleasant atmosphere.
According to the Met Department, this spell of rain is expected to continue for the next three to four days. The downpour has extended to Motorway M3, impacting areas like Faizpur, Sharaqpur, Nankana Sahib, Jaranwala, Samundri , and Rajana. Motorway M4 saw rainfall in Faisalabad, Gojra, Shorkot, and Abdul Hakeem, while Motorway M5 experienced rain in Multan, Jalalpur Pirwala, Uch Sharif, and Zahir Pir.

Other regions affected include Chichawatani, Mian Channu, Khanewal, Multan, Basti Maluk, Lodhran, and Bahawalpur. The Motorway Police spokesperson reported that the rain has made roads slippery, posing travel hazards.
Rest of Punjab
In Kasur, Muridke, and Kamonke, heavy rain has continued, bringing a pleasant end to the recent heat. In Kamonke, rain has caused a power outage due to tripping of the GEPCO feeder. Similarly, Sharaqpur Sharif and Daska have seen heavy rain accompanied by strong winds, breaking the heat and humidity. Gujrat and its surroundings have also experienced heavy rain, which is expected to continue intermittently until the next evening.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Haripur has seen heavy rain, making the weather more comfortable. Abbottabad's Galiyat, Havelian, and surrounding areas experienced light rain, while various parts of Islamabad, including Bari Imam, G7, G8, and F9, have also seen rain with thunder.

Mardan has seen rain with strong winds, ending the heat and causing water accumulation in streets. Khyber has experienced flooding in storm drains due to the rain, but the weather remains pleasant. Attock has seen early morning rain with cool winds, contributing to a refreshing change in weather.
Kashmir
Azad Kashmir is not left out, with a new series of rains starting last night. Muzaffarabad and its surroundings, Neelum Valley, and Leepa Karna Valley have all experienced heavy rain. In Peshawar, rain has continued since last night, recording one millimeter of precipitation and dropping the minimum temperature to 26°C with high humidity. The Met Department forecasts intermittent rain for the next 48 hours.
The widespread rainfall across these regions is providing much-needed relief from the heat and helping to improve conditions after a period of intense summer weather.
