A petition challenging the nationwide internet shutdown has been filed in the Lahore High Court, with the Registrar Office scheduling a hearing for tomorrow.
Justice Shakeel Ahmed will take up the case filed by Nadeem Sarwar.
The petitioner has made the federal government, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), and others parties to the case.
He argued that the internet and social media apps were shut down without notice or reason, severely impacting businesses and daily life.
The petitioner contends that the internet shutdown violates fundamental rights and seeks annulment of the federal government's decision. They demand immediate restoration of internet services across the country.
