On the 77th Independence Day of Pakistan, Federal Minister for Privatisation Abdul Aleem Khan stressed the need for Pakistan to evolve into a genuine welfare state.
In his address marking the occasion, Khan underlined the significance of honouring the sacrifices made by those who fought for the country's freedom.
“Freedom is a great blessing that our ancestors attained through immense sacrifices,” said Khan. “This land is the result of the relentless efforts of our Founding Fathers, and we must uphold their vision.”
Khan called upon the nation to reflect on individual and collective interests as a means to overcome current crises.
He also highlighted the role of emigrants among the founding figures of Pakistan, stressing the importance of acknowledging their contributions.
“Let us not forget to pay homage to those who sacrificed their lives for the motherland today,” he urged.
Khan reaffirmed the resolve of every Pakistani to stand united with the Pakistan Army against any elements hostile to the country, reinforcing the spirit of national solidarity.
