Earthquake tremors were felt in Mingora and the surrounding areas on Saturday.
According to initial reports from the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale. The tremor’s underground depth was recorded at 200 kilometres, with the epicentre near the Tajikistan border.
Despite the earthquake's intensity, there have been no reports of casualties or damage to property from any part of the capital or its neighbouring regions.
In the aftermath of the earthquake, people left their homes in panic and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran. Meanwhile, no loss of life or property was reported from any part of the capital due to the earthquake.
This is the second time in recent weeks that Mingora has experienced an earthquake. Last month, on July 2, a similar tremor with a magnitude of 4.5 was recorded. The depth of that earthquake was 105 kilometres, with the epicentre also situated near the Tajikistan border.
